ADVENTURE FARM GETS READY TO REOPEN

- By TRACEY CHADWICK editorial@burtonmail.co.uk

A STAFFORDSHIRE tourist hotspot is launching two new attractions as it gets ready to reopen its doors when restrictions are lifted this month.

The National Forest Adventure Farm in Taten hill will welcome visitors back from Monday, April 12.

They will be able to enjoy a new Critter Village event, featuring entertainment by characters dressed as a bee, butterfly and hedgehog, and fire pit and beer garden evenings, where friends and families will be able to relax in the evening and enjoy the outdoor play area.

The New Life and Critter Village event will see the farm welcome new life with baby chicks, piglets and kid goats joining the animal zone.

There will also be the opportunity to meet some of the hundreds of new lambs due to be born in the Lambing Live Tent plus lamb-feeding demonstrations.

In the evening, the farm will be transformed into a beer garden with outdoor lighting making the most of its outdoor space and play area.

Friends and families can also relax by one of 15 private fire pits which include a gazebo, bottle of prosecco and marshmallows for toasting. Visitors can order food and drink from the bar via an app, and it will be delivered to their dedicated table.

All activities include Covid-19 safety measures such as limited capacity, social distancing, enhanced cleaning procedures, extra hand-sanitising stations and using face masks in indoor spaces such as the reception. Ivor Robinson, who owns the farm with his brother Tom, said: “This is such a magical time on the farm when everything springs into life with new chicks, lambs and piglets bustling about. We can’t wait to see our visitors enjoying quality time together and our priority has always been to provide acres of outdoor safe play for families.

“We have worked hard to safely reopen the site and are looking forward to welcoming both guests and our new baby arrivals as the farm reopens its doors.”
