Chance to get on the property ladder
NEW ESTATE HAS STARTER HOMES WHICH ARE REGISTERED FOR HELP TO BUY SCHEME
FIRST-TIME buyers could own a brand new property on a housing development near Burton.
The homes are available at Bellway’s Sheasby Park development in Fradley and they qualify for the new Help to Buy scheme.
This means that first-time buyers can get on the property ladder with a smaller deposit and mortgage.
The Palm house type at the development, located off Common Lane, is priced below the new £255,600 regional cap for the West Midlands, which comes into force from April 1.
The Palm is a two-bedroom terrace home with open-plan kitchen and dining areas and contemporary features. It also has an en-suite bathroom for the main bedroom.
Marie Richards, sales director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “The Palm is a perfect starter home for first-time buyers looking to take their first steps on the housing ladder in Staffordshire.
“We have been registered with the Help to Buy scheme since its inception in 2013 and are pleased that we can continue to offer this valuable tool to aspiring homeowners in the county. Located just four miles from Lichfield town centre, Sheasby Park offers the perfect combination of town and country living.
“We look forward to welcoming more people into their first homes at the development with the assistance of Help to Buy.”
Help to Buy is a Government scheme that provides a 20 per cent equity loan towards the purchase of a new-build home. This means the buyer has to find just a five per cent deposit and 75 per cent mortgage. The equity loan is interest-free for the first five years.
From April, the initiative will be available exclusively to first-time buyers.
Marie said: “This is a great opportunity for first-time buyers to purchase a brand-new home in a sought-after location.
“Sheasby Park is situated next to the Coventry Canal and Fradley Pools, offering a wealth of walking routes in picturesque surroundings.
“The development is also close to the centre of Fradley, with its selection of traditional village amenities, including shops, a pub and a restaurant.
“As well as being conveniently located on the edge of Lichfield, these homes are ideally positioned for commuting to other neighbouring towns and cities.
“There is easy access to both the A38 and A51, providing quick routes to Birmingham, Worcester, Burton, Derby, Tamworth and Stafford,” she added.
Prices for The Palm start at
£226,995.
Bellway is delivering 216 new homes at Sheasby Park, with 54 allocated for affordable housing. The development will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
Other homes available at Sheasby Park include The Chorley, a threebedroom detached house from £297,995; and The Acacia, a fourbedroom detached home from £425,995.
There will be more homes available to purchase with Help to Buy in the coming months.
