WATERING HOLES IN STAFFORDSHIRE AND SOUTH DERBYSHIRE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW LANDLORDS

- By GEORGE BUNN george.bunn@reachplc.com

MANY pubs across the area are now open again and some are looking for new landlords that can take them on as they look forward to a good year to come.

Pubs can now welcome back customers to their outdoor areas, such as beer gardens, with table service only, as step two of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s road map out of lockdown which started on Monday, April 12.

And in just over a week’s time, from May 17, they should be able to welcome customers inside their venues again if all goes to plan as Covid restrictions are eased.

Becoming a publican is “a way of life”, according to Emma Golding, landlady of The Grove in Burton, who said: “It’s not like going into work and then coming home – my home is my work, effectively, so you are involved 24/7.”

And for some this will be highly appealing, especially if you want to make something your own and enjoy a the challenge. If you do, here are some pubs that are looking for new tenants in Staffordshire.
