Half of homes on new Doveridge development have been built
WORK on a brand new housing development in Derbyshire has now passed a significant milestone and it is on course to be completed this summer.
Bellway is building 62 new homes at Dove Manor, off Derby Road in Doveridge, which comprises 51 houses for the open market and 11 affordable properties available for people through rent or shared ownership.
Now half of the private homes on the site have been built.
In total, 29 families have moved into their new homes at the development, with almost 75 per cent of the properties now sold and just 13 remaining for sale.
Construction work at Dove Manor started in 2019 and is scheduled to be completed this summer.
Marie Richards, sales director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “Construction work is progressing well at Dove Manor and we have already welcomed 29 households to their new homes. Dove Manor is a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes. Prices start from £144,995 for the one-bedroom Oxhill apartment, and from £368,145 for the four-bedroom Lilac detached home.
The Oxhill, Wishaw, Almond and Sambourne house types are available to buy on the latest Help to Buy scheme.
The scheme allows first-time buyers to purchase a new-build home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage, with the remaining 20 per cent provided as an equity loan from the Government, interest free for the first five years of homeownership.
New homes bought with Help to Buy must be priced under the cap set for their region – in the East Midlands, this is £261,500.
