RAMS RATINGS

-

KELLE ROOS 5

Managed to keep Jordan Rhodes’ close-range effort out only for Sam Hutchinson to score from the rebound. Looked shaky in the second half, especially with high balls into the box and crosses.

NATHAN BYRNE 6

Stuck to his defensive task in the second half when Wednesday were throwing everything at Derby.

GEORGE EDMUNDSON 6

It was a physical battle for much of the game and he stood up to that.

MATT CLARKE 6

A towering header in the nervy closing minutes tells you everything about his determination to defend.

CRAIG FORSYTH 5

Made a mistake for Wednesday’s second goal that could have been very costly. Solid in the first half.

GRAEME SHINNIE 7

Tenacious and full of energy and commitment from the first whistle.

JASON KNIGHT 5.5

Fully committed, as he always is, but there were times Derby needed more control in midfield.

PATRICK ROBERTS 7

Saw a low shot parried by keeper Keiren Westwood before Colin Kazim-richards put the ball in the net only to see a flag up for offside. He put Derby ahead with a fine curling strike – what a goal and what a time to score your first goal for the Rams.

TOM LAWRENCE 7

A lovely ball in from Lawrence for Martyn Waghorn’s headed equaliser, he has come back strongly from injury. Derby missed him when he was out for three months.

MARTYN WAGHORN 9

Needed lengthy treatment after clattering into a post early on when diverting the ball narrowly wide when he probably should have scored. He was in the right place to head Derby’s equaliser in the second half and provided an assist with classic centre-forward play for Roberts to put Derby ahead. A nerveless Waghorn then kept his cool to convert a penalty to make it 3-3. Excellently taken.

COLIN KAZIM-RICHARDS 6.5

Quiet in the opening 20 minutes but came more into the game. Gave his all, battled away and kept Wednesday’s defenders occupied.

SUBSTITUTES MAX BIRD (FOR KNIGHT, 61) 6

LEE BUCHANAN (FOR FORSYTH, 73) 6

KAMIL JOZWIAK (FOR SHINNIE, 73) 7

Made a difference when he came on, won the penalty.

CURTIS DAVIES (FOR WAGHORN, 82) N/A
