Couple serve up a dining treat for town

A COUPLE opening a new restaurant in East Staffordshire are keen to impress their new customers.
Dave Northam and wife Emma’s Heath House Kitchen will open next Thursday on the bottom floor of Heath House Conference Centre in Cheadle Road, Uttoxeter.
The restaurant has space for up to 50 diners.
As well as opening every evening, the fully licensed eatery will be open for lunch at weekends, specialising in traditional Sunday lunches, and for special events such as Christmas Day. Dave is an experienced executive chef and says the welcome he offers to guests is rooted in his Italian family background.
He said: “Hospitality is so much more than just an industry - it’s all about welcoming people to enjoy my food and cooking. That’s based on my personal experiences of being welcomed to sit down and eat with my Italian grandmother.
“Our food reflects a wide range of traditional and contemporary dishes. We have an exciting children’s menu that’s been given the thumbs-up by our four children.
“Our restaurant is all about offering top-quality, fresh dishes without pretension, but with a genuinely warm welcome.”
Emma runs the conference and office facility and, as a trained artist, is busy creating murals reflecting countryside scenes and wildlife on the walls of the establishment’s dining areas.
She said: “One of the challenges has been marrying together the different functions of the building, a conference centre and office facility by day and a restaurant at night with private dining facilities.
“In addition to the main restaurant, we have smaller, fully serviced private dining rooms allowing guests to enjoy all the facilities whilst retaining their privacy.
“People who know and love Dave’s style of food have all told us Uttoxeter needs our kind of restaurant, particularly as the town’s now expanding so rapidly.”
The restaurant will be open from 4pm to 9pm Monday to Friday; midday to 9pm on Saturdays; and midday to 8pm on Sundays.
