Where you’ll find the tastiest food from the East

HERE in England we have embraced the spicy delights available at curry houses and Chinese restaurants up and down the country.

We pretty much invented fish and chips, but even our tasty battered cod and fried potatoes play second fiddle to Asian food in many people’s eyes.

So we have taken a look at Chinese eateries in Burton and Swadlincote and researched their scores on Tripadvisor. Here’s what we found:

WING WAH BURTON

Address: New Street, Burton

We were delighted to be back and will continue to visit regularly. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard throughout the many different rule and regulation changes.”

TOP CHEF

Rating: 4/5 from nine reviews Five-star review: “Visited this takeaway right at closing time and was graciously received with a smile. They very kindly fired up the kitchen again to feed us, which was well above and beyond the call of duty. Very kind, and delicious food. We’ve enjoyed food from here numerous times and it’s always good. Highly recommended.”

HCK FAST FOOD

ROYAL HARRIS

JADE GARDEN

Address: Branston Road, Burton Rating: 4.5/5 from three reviews

Five-star review: “After four visits to this fantastic takeaway across a number of work stopovers in the area I can’t fault it. Even when I went with a less exotic sounding meal like chicken Chinese-style with vegetables it was flavour packed and beautifully cooked. I love their crispy chicken, the black bean sauce and fantastic chicken and sweet corn soup.”

HONG KONG HOUSE

DRAGON-I

Address: Fenton Crescent, Swadlincote

Rating: 3.5/5 from 11 reviews Five-star review: “We had a takeaway on Saturday night and it was one of the nicest takeaways we have had in years. The dishes were freshly cooked and very tasty. Three of us shared two meals and there was plenty for us all. We had crispy chicken balls, sweet and sour with fried rice and chicken satay, also with fried rice. There was a complimentary bag of prawn crackers, which were lovely too. We will definitely visit again.”
