Cases heard recently before Cannock Magistrates’ Court
■■Radoslaw Lewandowski, 42, of Ash Street, Burton, admitted assaulting a woman in Oak Street, Burton on August 29. He has been given an 18-week prison sentence which was suspended for 12 months after magistrates were told the attack was, “a disgraceful incident of domestic abuse which was serious and prolonged”. He must now observe a 12 month restraining order. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £128 victim surcharge. ■■Callum Dyson, 30, of no fixed address, admitted possession of cannabis in Swadlincote, on December 28, 2019. He also admitted driving a Ford Kuga otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance, in Burton Road, Swadlincote, on December 28, 2019. He has been fined £80, ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with six points. ■■Attila Balog, 26, of Victoria Street, Burton, was convicted of using a green Renault on the A38 at Lichfield without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence, on April 5. He has been fined £660, ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with eight penalty points. ■■Dan Martin, 29, of Old Mansfield Road, Derby, admitted driving a BMW on the A38 at Burton while exceeding the 70mph speed limit by driving at 112mph, on July 10. He has been fined £435, ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £43 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with six points. ■■Nigel Haywood, 47, of Victoria Crescent, Burton, admitted stealing a bicycle worth £40 from a woman in Burton on June 1. He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence. He has been fined £220, ordered to pay £185 court costs, £40 compensation and a £34 victim surcharge.
