No Covid proof to get
BURTON Albion fans will not be required to provide proof of Covid vaccination status to attend games at the Pirelli Stadium as current Plan B regulations stand.
But fans will need to provide a Covid pass if travelling to some away games at which an attendance of more than 10,00 is expected – starting with the trip to play Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.
Please look out for confirmation on future away games.
In a statement, the Brewers said: “We are looking forward to welcoming you to all home games as usual and we will be taking extra measures to ensure your safety. All Burton Albion staff will wear masks at all times and will undertake lateral flow test before entering the ground.
“We also encourage supporters to wear a face mask in all areas of the stadium when not eating or drinking. Hand sanitisers will be widely available around the ground and fans are encouraged to use them.
“We would also encourage fans to take a lateral flow test before attending games and not to come to the stadium if they are unwell.”
Meanwhile, the Brewers’ League One rivals Lincoln City are limiting the capacity at the LNER Stadium, Sincil Bank, to less than 10,000 for as long as the current Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
The decision, reached following guidance from Public Health Lincolnshire, the safety authorities and the EFL, means that supporters will not have to provide proof of vaccination nor a negative lateral flow test to gain entry.
The Brewers are not due to play away to Lincoln until January 29.
Face coverings will also not be required in the hospitality areas but members of match-day operational staff will wear them when working at the stadium.
