I saw medium to the stars Chloe and was blown away by what she had to tell me

MEDIUM Chloe Smith is a favourite among many big-name stars for her psychic readings and “healing abilities” with her client list including celebrity names such as Gemma Collins, Kerry Katona and Amy Childs.

Her business, called Chloe Mediumship, only started in January this year and already has 123,000 Instagram followers as the mother-ofthree has been doing readings alongside running her car body and repair shop in Foston with partner Mason Durose.

She can receive between 200 and 300 messages a day from people wanting readings.

But it is not only her clients that her mediumship has helped as the 25-year-old has told how she was struggling with depression herself as she raised her three young children.

She was taking anti-depressants and struggled to get off them, but since starting the business, it has helped her get off the medication completely.

And Chloe, from Uttoxeter, took the time to carry out a reading for me so I could experience for myself what it was like, as I’ve never done anything like it before.

Going to see a medium is not something I have ever considered doing before – although it had always intrigued me.

With so many people believing wholeheartedly and speaking so highly of their experiences with mediums, I wanted to see for myself what it was like, and was determined to go with an open mind.

I wouldn’t say I was the biggest sceptic before I went, nor was I a believer either.

I arrived feeling a little nervous over what she might tell me – even though I had been told she would never tell me anything bad, what if something came up on the cards?

Even if my head told me to dismiss what she said as nonsense, what if she told me something about me noone else knew? I wouldn’t be able to write it off then would I, I thought.

I needn’t have been worried when I arrived as Chloe was very welcoming and friendly and immediately put me at ease.

She conducted a full reading which involved using tarot cards and an angel reading – looking at my past, future and present. Angel card readings use a specific deck of cards, with each one having a different meaning.

She also explained there were spirits in the room that come to her with objects which would mean something to me.

Still being open-minded here, I thought to myself “spirits in the room is a little harder to believe”.

But I felt the hairs on the back of my neck prickle and a little warm when she talked about things like an item of jewellery, something which has been passed to me from my grandparents.

Speaking about when people die, Chloe said she believes people have a “resting period” lasting about a year before moving.

She explained how she can see

them in the room and they show her objects that reveal their identity – for me it was jewellery.

She then seamlessly moved on to talking about the seeing repetition of the letter ‘O’ referring to someone in my family.

Had she recited a common letter, I wouldn’t have been so convinced, but ‘O’ is not as common, I thought, and this is a very important letter to me as it’s the first letter of a close family member’s name.

Okay, I thought, you have grabbed my attention.

Chloe went on to tell me to expect exciting things to come in the future – with travel, success and recognition that would be worth celebrating all heading my way. General, I thought, but I love travelling.

What she said next summed me up to a tee. She talked about issues to overcome such as overthinking everything – that’s me, I thought.

It’s amazing how long I can dwell on something silly I wish I hadn’t said from 20 years ago. She also told me to think about forgiveness and the people I let walk in and out of my life – me again, I thought.

Interestingly, both the tarot cards and angel reading revealed similar predictions for me about travel, relationships and success.

weight had been lifted because someone had summed me up. It made me feel like she had helped me to take stock of myself and it was time to move on in life in a positive way.

I left her business with a spring in my step, excited about the future – travelling particularly as it is something I’ve always loved doing. I definitely left feeling a bit emotional and choked up as she had made me think about the people I love.

The experience reminded me of just how much they mean to me and how important they are in my life.

Chloe said she knows some people will be sceptical about what she does, but turning those who don’t believe into believers is something that she does, she said.

People will have their views on mediums, but many who have used them say they felt like they helped them through difficult times in their lives and it was a good thing for their mental health and the experience was one of bringing great comfort.

My take is that it’s a deeply personal thing and if it makes you feel good, helps you deal with adversity well and go on to positive things with your life, it’s no bad thing.

I’m glad I went as I left feeling more confident and excited about what the future holds for me.
