Big-name employers offering roles at jobs fair

- By HELEN KREFT helen.kreft@reachplc.com

JOBS at Mcdonald’s, Alton Towers and KP Snacks will be available at a jobs fair to be held in Burton this month.

The event is being held by the Worklessness Action Group, which is a partnership of local public, private and community organisations.

More than 40 employers have already signed up for the fair, including well known employers, such as Alton Towers, Mcdonalds, KP Snacks, and Hilton Hotels, which is the sponsor of the event.

Employers looking for staff will be able to take up a stall for free.

The event is free to all members of the public, giving people the chance to talk directly to major employers.

If you are a jobseeker there is no need to book; simply come along on the day with some CVS and browse all of the job opportunities on offer.

Councillor George Allen, leader of East Staffordshire Borough Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both employers and jobseekers alike. Previous jobs fairs have all been a great success and I’m sure the event on Thursday, June 30 will be no exception.

“The fair is set to see a large number of reputable employers advertising job vacancies and I really hope that local jobseekers take full advantage of the free event.”

The event, sponsored by Hilton Hotels, will be held at Burton Town Hall on Thursday, June 30, between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
