The Hair Taylor offers a range of services, including ladies’ and gents’ cutting, colouring, hair up, hair extensions, keratin blow-dry, perming, proms and weddings. The small salon has also been nominated and won various awards, including ‘Hair Salon Of The Year’ two times in 2019, and most recently in 2020.

The salon is run by Kirsty Tayloranderson. Stephanie Ballie and Hollie Johnson also work at the salon, with both having seven years’ and 10 years’ experience respectively.

The Hair Taylor scored five out of five from 88 Google reviews. One said: “I visited The Hair Taylor last week for the first time and I was not disappointed. Kirsty is friendly, professional, highly skilled and knowledgeable. I had a colour and cut and was delighted with the result.”

ESCAPE HAIR, 16 BOROUGH ROAD, BURTON, DE14 2DA

Established in 2002, Escape Hair is an award-winning salon with a team of stylists who say they can find the right person to craft the style of people’s choosing. The salon is home to five stylists, with three each having more than at least 16 years’ experience in the industry.

Escape Hair offers a variety of treatments such as colour and colour correction, hair styling and blow-drying, home hair care advice, wedding hair, gents’ hairdressing and hair extensions. The salon scored five out of five from 24 reviews.

One customer said: “Brilliant, great staff, great skills, always prompt and always friendly so overall a very professional service. There is an attention to detail here, including the quality of the customer service.”

UNIQUE SALON, 54 MOOR STREET, BURTON, DE14 3SZ

Unique first opened its doors in 1999 as the first Asian salon in Burton. Owner Jatty Kudhail started the business as a part-time venture following her passion in the make-up and beauty industry.

She spent many years perfecting her talents with a young family, exploring various opportunities that would eventually open up doors for her to expand her business across the beauty, hair and bridal market.

The salon offers a large variety of beauty and spa treatments, as well as the standard hairdressing.

Polly Hodge Hair and Beauty has been established for over 25 years offering unisex hair salon catering for all ages. No appointments are necessary for a traditional and contemporary hair dressing service, it says.

There is also a full range of beauty treatments, including tailored wedding packages for each individual. Polly Hodge scored five out of five on Google Reviews from 18 reviews.

One client said: “I have been a customer of Polly Hodge for the past five years and genuinely wouldn’t go anywhere else. My hair always looks incredible after I have visited and I leave feeling totally pampered.

“All the girls are friendly, knowledgeable and skilled in their craft. Nothing is too much trouble and they will always listen to my ideas and give me the best possible advice for me and my hair.”

Downstairs there is a bespoke lounge area for consultations and relaxation before going upstairs to complete your VIP hair service. Throughout a visit at Danielle Sarah, guests are invited to indulge on champagne or sip coffee at their own leisure in the complete privacy the salon has to offer.

Revival Hair and Beauty scored five out of five on Google Reviews from 29 reviews.

One reviewer said: “It’s my very first time to have a haircut in the UK and it was the best decision to have it done here. The staff were nice especially Janine who did a very good job with my hair and she is really friendly and professional while putting me at ease and making my hair look amazing.”

This savvy salon is currently so popular it is unable to take on any new cliental. Bounce specialises in colourful and unique hairstyles to get everyone’s attention, with bright colours and bold shapes, it says.

Bounce scored five out of five from 23 reviews. One said: “I know that whatever I may need doing Josh will always make my hair look amazing with a fabulous colour and a cut that swishes nicely.”

Molly’s Hair and Beauty is the selfproclaimed one-stop pamper shop in Burton. The salon offers a relaxed hair and beauty salon experience that caters for all ages.

The salon scored five out of five from 24 reviews, with one saying: “I’ve been going to Molly’s for nearly three years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do my hair.”

Guys and Dolls scored the maximum five out of five from 14 reviews. One wrote: “After not having my haircut for some time due to Covid, I got a last minute appointment with Emily and it was a fabulous wash, cut and blow dry.

“The head massage was amazing too. I was also heading to a hen party afterwards, she curled my hair for the occasion.”
