Young entrepreneurs are hosting their own market and could win title
YOUNG people with entrepreneurial flair are being given the opportunity to put up a stall and set out their wares, and compete for a national title at the same time.
As part of a national campaign organised by the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF), Burton Market Hall will host a Young Traders Market on Saturday, July 2.
The Market will see traders aged 16 to 30 years old competing to impress the judges for a place in the regional finals, which is to be held in
Wolverhampton on the August 13 2022.
Cllr Bev Ashcroft, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development said: “Events like this are a fantastic opportunity for local traders to get the support and recognition they deserve. I really hope residents come along and support their local businesses and traders.”
East Staffordshire Borough Council are encouraging residents to support these local young traders by visiting the event. The market will be open from 9am to 4pm.

The National Market Traders Federation’s Young Traders Market campaign aims to find the next generation of traders who will continue to support the industry. The national final will be held at the Waterside in Stratford-upon-avon on Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27.
As well as a prestigious trophy the overall winner will receive £500 cash, and a mobile credit card terminal from NMTF sponsors Multipay.
