A BURTON supermarket that is reported to have a high turnover is looking for a new owner.

Zzim supermarket is based in Uxbridge Street and is described as being well fitted and “heavily relied upon in the local community”.

The business is being sold by Edward Jones Estate Agents and is looking for offers in the region of £60,000.

The current owner is selling due to other commitments, and the property is available to view on property website Zoopla.

A Zoopla spokesman said: “Edward Jones Estate Agent presents an opportunity to purchase a high turnover mini supermarket, which is completely unopposed and reputable in Burton. The store is well fitted and is heavily relied upon in the local community.

“Same owner since establishment, our client reluctantly sells this gem of a business due to other business commitments that require their full attention. The business generates a healthy monthly income and offers limitless opportunities to further increase sales.”

The business is prominently located on a busy street, with a high level of footfall and passing trade and has been well maintained. It has an open plan sales area and is fitted and equipped to a high corporate standard for the sale of convenience goods, meat, fruit and vegetables, confectionery and household essentials.

It also has a full and modern CCTV and alarm system. The spokesman added: “The store is presented in good condition, with thoughtfully arranged shelving, and a wide selection of East Asian products. The business is well-fitted throughout and a valuable inventory of equipment is included in the sale.”

It currently trades from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday and is run under full management of three fulltime and one part-time staff. The business has a two-bedroom flat included.

The business is offered for sale on a new 15-year renewable lease with a rent review every fifth anniversary. The rent per year is £14,400 per year with £7,680 per year income from the rental of flats.

The spokesman said: “Customer viewings are encouraged but under no circumstances should staff be spoken to at this fully managed site. Failing to adhere to this will result in the interested party being ruled out of the sale process.

“Viewing is highly recommended, strictly via agent only.”
