‘This is such a lovely place to call home’
SWADLINCOTE COUPLE AMONG FIRST TO PICK UP KEYS TO HOUSE AT NEW-BUILD DEVELOPMENT
A COUPLE from Swadlincote are among the first people to move into a new housing development.
Maisie Wheeler, 26, and her boyfriend Luke Horner, 27, have got the keys for their new build at Taylor Wimpey’s new development, Gresley Meadow.
After reserving their new home and moving in 2023, Maisie and Luke have made their first steps on to the property ladder and couldn’t be happier with their new home.
The pair said opting for a new build as their first house was an easy decision.
Maisie and Luke said: “We found the designs of Taylor Wimpey homes to be really nice and modern, and by buying a new build home, we’ve freed up our weekends and spare time which would’ve been spent on DIY and decorating, and instead we just get to enjoy living in our home straightaway.
“Gresley Meadow is already such a lovely place to call home.
“The development has lots of green open space, which is perfect for dog walks with our puppy Hector.
“We’re also really close to local shops and Gresley Woods, so we have everything we need on our doorstep.”
Maisie and Luke chose the Eynsford house type. With an open-plan living area downstairs perfect for entertaining, and plenty of storage space, including a separate utility room, the couple knew they’d found their perfect home.
After living with their families nearby, the couple decided to stay local when purchasing their first home, and thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s Key Worker scheme, Gresley Meadow was the perfect place.
Comprising a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes, Gresley Meadow will have just more than 300 properties once complete.
