The classes are held in the Memorial Hall Market Place. It runs puppy classes, obedience training, ring craft and a fun agility session. It also offers training for The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme ‘Puppy’ ‘Bronze’ Silver’ and ‘Gold’. The classes are held on a Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm. Phone 0128683109­2 for details. PORTHMADOG WI: Met on Monday June 6 in Y Ganolfan. President Eifiona Williams welcomed members and gave the apologies of Mavis O Jones who was unable to be present. Best wishes were sent to the Treasurer, Mrs Gwenda Charles who is in hospital in Bangor. The meeting opened with a report on the day course at Plas Tan Y Bwlch attended by 12 members. In the morning there had been a talk on Catrin o Ferain by Helen Williams Ellis, After lunch there was a talk on Ysgwrn, and it is hoped to visit there next year when the cottage will be reopened. In the Correspond­ence, a request had been received from St John’s Church, Porthmadog, to take part in their Flower and Craft Festival in July. Katharine Dobson spoke about WaterAid. In her vote of thanks, Secretary Mrs Margaret Harrison, expressed members’ very real appreciati­on of the talk and said how much she had learned from it. The evening closed with tea and cakes, provided by the Tea Hostesses Maggie Barbier and Marilyn Mantle.
