BARBER IS BACK

Sioned reopens Warehouse

- Owen Hughes

A BARBER shop in Caernarfon has re-opened after nine years.

The Warehouse closed in the town back in 2007 and has been empty for years.

But now Sioned Mair Roberts is to open a men’s barber shop in the unit - bringing back the original name.

Having trained in hairdressing Sioned said she had focused on doing men’s hair because it is “more interesting”.

She said: “The place had been closed for nine years, before it closed it was a traditional male barbers and that is what I have brought back.

“After closing the unit has been empty for nine years and I wanted to bring it back.”

For Sioned it will be the first time she has run her own business.

She said: “I have spent the last few years working for other people but have always wanted to start my ow business.

“I have trained in hairdressing but I have always preferred being a men’s barber.

“I think it is more interesting and a more interesting challenge.

“You get so many different people through the door each day and I just enjoy it.

“I also like the banter you have, that is a great part of the job.

“I have always been a men’s barber and that is what i will keep doing.

“We have only been open a few days but it is already going well and I am really pleased to have done it.”

‘I LOVE THE BANTER - IT’S A GREAT JOB’ SAYS SIONED
