SINGING FOR FUN: Lleisiau’r Byd World Voices is a friendly and informal community choir. Meets every Wednesday in term-time 7.30 to 9.30 in the Jerusalem Hall in Cricieth. £5 a session, with first one free. The choir sings songs in a variety of styles and languages in glorious harmony. STARLIGHT PLAYERS: Announce their summer show 2016 will be RolePlay by Alan Ayckbourn. Following on from their award-winning production of Vicar of Dibley in 2015 the Starlight Players will again provide an evening’s entertainm­ent with a comedy play this summer. RolePlay, by Alan Ayckbourn is set in a Docklands apartment. Justin and Julie-Ann are preparing to meet each other’s parents and announce their engagement when their lives are turned upside down as ex-lap dancer Paige Petit drops in! RolePlay will be performed at the Memorial Hall, High Street, Criccieth, every Tuesday until September 6. Performanc­es start at 7.30pm, doors open 7pm. Tickets are £8, available on the door. The performanc­e contains some strong language, parental discretion is advised. This amateur production of “RolePlay” is presented by special arrangemen­t with Samuel French, Ltd. ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTIO­N: RNLI Shops make a huge contributi­on to this vital service, and the Criccieth shop is no exception. President Pam Kempley welcomed Bob’s wife Ann to the meeting and thanked Steph Tindall for arranging the trip to the lifeboat. The tea hostesses Anne Roberts and Suzanne Baker were thanked for tea and cakes after the monthly meeting. July 29 the Bring and share lunch to be followed by fun games. August 16 Summer Fair.
