O DDRWS I DDRWS: runs a bus service from Llŷn to Ysbyty Gwynedd every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for £1 each way. It was originally a three month project, which started in November, but due to its success and regular use the service will continue. The bus starts out from Llŷn to arrive at Ysbyty Gwynedd convenient for visiting time 1.30pm-2.30pm. It will pick up from the villages around Llŷn. PILGRIMAGE: The Ministry areas of Bro Eryri and Bro Ogwen are arranging a Pilgrimage for Sunday July 31 to St Michaels Abbey on St Dwynwens Island, the day will begin with Eucharist on Llanddwyn Beach, then a walk for those able onto the Island to St Michaels Abbey, this will be followed by a picnic lunch and the Pilgrimage will finish at Llanidan with prayers, need numbers by at the latest by Wednesday evening so names please to Selwyn ASAP.

OPEN DAY & VINTAGE RALLY: On Sunday August 7 from 11am an Open Day will be held at the Polish Home Penrhos. The home will be open for guided walks, and a Vintage Rally for cars, agricultur­al tractors and machinery will be held on the curtilage. This month, the Cae Pawb Allotments will be joining the market to sell their surplus fruit and vegetables, with the proceeds going towards the Wales Air Ambulance. The Cae Pawb allotments have visited the market for the past 5 years, and have raised over £800 towards this worthy cause. NAME THE TRAIN: The winner of the “Name the Train” competitio­n at Porthmadog Library was Mali Fflur Pritchard, aged 11 from Porthmadog. Forty entries were received with suggestion­s varying from Tomos and Blanche to Tilly and Hattie Haf. The winning name was CLED. Mali will receive a wonderful prize donated by Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Railways on Friday morning at the library.
