SINGING FOR FUN: Lleisiau’r Byd World Voices is a friendly and informal community choir. Meets every Wednesday in term-time 7.30 to 9.30 in the Jerusalem Hall in Cricieth. £5 a session, with first one free. The choir sings songs in a variety of styles and languages in glorious harmony. All music is taught by ear, directed by musical leader David Gunn, in a friendly and supportive way to produce beautiful sounds. No previous singing experience necessary. Contact 01766 523686. STARLIGHT PLAYERS: The summer show for 2016 is RolePlay by Alan Ayckbourn. Set in a Docklands apartment. Justin and Julie-Ann are preparing to meet each other’s parents and announce their engagement when their lives are turned upside down as ex-lap dancer Paige Petit drops in! RolePlay will be performed at the Memorial Hall, High Street, Criccieth, every Tuesday until September 6. Performances start at 7.30pm, doors open 7pm. Tickets are £8, available on the door. The performance contains some strong language, parental discretion is advised. This amateur production of “RolePlay” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Ltd. ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION: RNLI Shops make a huge contribution to this vital service, and the Criccieth shop is no exception. Depending on the availability of staff the shop is open from 11am to 8pm daily for the summer months. If you are able to consider working as a volunteer for a few hours, particularly for the evening shifts, and helping to support your local RNLI, they would be delighted to hear from you. Thanks to the Rev Carol Roberts and Rev John Matthews, who organised the Pilgrimage and to Gwilym and John for getting the pilgrims there safely.
