Jac’s chant is a hit with fans

-

THIS young Manchester City fan’s Pep Guardiola chant has now been taken on by the club’s supporters.

Jac Birch, 12 from Groeslon, posted a video of himself on You Tube singing “We’ve got Guar-di-iola” inspired by the arrival of the club’s new manager in July.

And life-long Man City supporter Jac was amazed to hear city fans chanting his song, which is based on The Dave Clark Five hit single “Glad All Over”, during the club’s 4-1 win against Stoke City last Saturday.

The chant has proved an internet sensation, attracting over 1,000 hits on You Tube and reaching searches on Google.

“It all started about a month ago when we were watching TV and an advert using the Glad All Over song came on, “said proud dad Richard Birch.

“Jac laughed and said that sounds like Guardiola.

“Then he started singing his song everytime the advert came on the TV.

“I videoed him doing his song and he posted it on You Tube.

“You can imagine our surprise when we saw the fans singing the song when City played Stoke last weekend. “He has had over a thousand hits. “He is so proud.” Now Jac wants his dad to watch a Man City match with him so he can join in with his chant with other fans.

Jac, a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle in Penygroes, said: “When I checked my You Tube video the hits had shot up to over 600 and I didn’t know why.

“I looked at the comments and was so excited.

“I went to tell dad and he had just received a message from his friend saying “Jac’s song was all over Google.

“We then watched a video of the fans singing my song.

“I couldn’t stop laughing, I was so happy.”

Crystal Palace fans have previously adopted The Dave Clark Five classic “Glad All Over”, but City have now made it their own.
