STARS from a galaxy far, far away will descend on Venue Cymru this September as Scifi Wales returns to Llandudno for its second year.

Scifi Wales has guests appearing from some of the hottest properties on TV and the big screen including Star Wars, Labyrinth, James Bond, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and Doctor Who.

Scifi wales is North Wales’ premier science fiction event, and promises celebrity guests, talks, Q&A sessions, traders, prop displays, cosplay, competitions, photo opportunities, autograph room plus much, much more.

With the popularity of the Star Wars franchise once again exploding after last year’s Christmas release of The Force Awakens, Scifi Wales is bringing the stars of Star Wars to North Wales with an impressive lineup of guests that is currently growing at hyper-speed.

Currently confirmed from Star Wars is Jabba the Hutt puppeteer Toby Philpott, bounty hunter Bossk actor Alan Harris, Gerald Home who played Cantina alien Tessek often referred to as Squid Head, The Force Awakens Resistance Fighter Clem So and Paul Blake who played the famous bounty hunter Greedo who is often asked just “who shot first?”, referring to his scene with Harrison Ford’s Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

Prop masters Brian Muir and Ted Western will also be on hand to talk about their involvement in the Star Wars franchise, and answer any questions you may have on the props used throughout the Star Wars galaxy.

Visitors to Scifi Wales will also be able to watch the Star Wars celebrities take to the stage with a special Star Wars panel, giving you the chance to ask your own questions as well as having the opportunity to listen to some great stories from the actors themselves. Cosplay group The Dragon Order will also be on hand to pose for photos in various Star Wars and sci-fi themed costumes.

You can take part in the cosplay competition yourself (with prizes to be won!), but remember that for the health and safety of all attendees, any weapons that can cause injury are banned. If in doubt about any weapon, please email info@scifiwales.uk for clarification.

Landing at Venue Cymru on Saturday, September 3, this one day event features many more attractions for fans of sci-fi, fantasy, comics, gaming and cosplay and is set to be a funfilled day for all who attend. Robert Dyer, owner of UK Conventions Limited, the company behind Scifi Wales, said: “We’ve had so much interest in Scifi Wales since our launch last year that we’ve really put a lot of effort into adding even more attractions for visitors to see and do this September”.

For the latest information about special guests, talks, and all the other attractions, including robots (a favourite with kids of all ages, including adults!), or to answer all your queries about the event, check out the website www.scifi.wales
