Thomas settles Trophy thriller for Llanllyfni

NEIL THOMAS snatched the winner for Llanllyfni in a 4-3 classic round two Trophy derby at Nantlle Vale.

James Thomas (2) and Rhys Alun Williams were on target for Vale, but David Parry (2) and Rob Daniels made it allsquare before Thomas settled it.

Llanrug United suffered a surprise 3-2 defeat at Gwynedd League outfit Aberffraw, Alan Mark Owen and Gethin Phillips on the mark for the Welsh Alliance Division One side.

Pwllheli took the spoils 6-4 at Prestatyn Sports, Mark Jones with a hat-trick, Tomos Jones (pen), Adam Hall and Lucas Baltovic with the rest.

Llanberis paid for a bad start, where they trailed 3-0 to Mynydd Llandegai, before fighting back only to lose 3-2.

Callum Macdonald netted a consolatio­n goal for Y Felinheli in a 4-1 defeat at Meliden.

Blaenau Amateurs’ home tie with Gaerwen was postponed due to an unfit pitch.
