COFFEE MORNING: The Foodbank will hold a Christmas Coffee Morning in St Peters on Saturday November 26 between 10.30 and noon. Admission and refreshments free, donations are much appreciated. Stalls include raffle, produce ‘decorate your cupcake’ and tombolas, including the chocolate tombola, where every child wins a prize. Do come and support, and see the plans for the re-development of the church.

FREDA DALE: Plas y Don, Pwllheli, formerly of Abersoch Road, Pwllheli, died on October 20 at Plas y don, Pwllheli, aged 94. Miss Dale was born in Pwllheli, to Mark and Dora. As a very young child the family moved to Abererch Road, in the town, where she continued to live until moving to Plas y Don Residential Home five years ago. She served in the Land Army during the war, then went to work at Bon Marche department store where she continued to work for over 50 years. She was a regular member of Salem Chapel and later attended Penmount Chapel. She is survived by her three sisters, Dorothy, Brenda and Hazel. The funeral was on thursday, November 3, with the public service at Bangor Crematorium, officiated by the Rev W Bryn Williams. The organist was Arthur Wilding. Tribute was by the Rev W Bryn Williams. The bearers were John southerton, Richard Jones, Derek Dale, Tim Swayne. Family mourners were Miss Dale’s sisters Dorothy Jones, Brenda Southerton and Hazel Lewis, her brothers-in-law John southerton, John Lewis, and sister in Law Norma Dale, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and former colleagues.A spray of white roses was sent by Dorothy, Brenda and Hazel. Funeral refreshments were at the Cricket Pavilion, Bangor. Funderal arrangements were by GD Roberts and Son, High St, Nefyn.

Bydd £100 yn cael ei gyflwyno o goffrau’r gangen at gael ‘defibrilator’ arall i’w osod mewn lle amlwg yn y dref. Diolchodd y Llywydd i’r wraig wadd am gyflwyniad difyr iawn ac i’r merched fu’n paratoi paned,Olive Evans, Menna Jones a Myra Williams.
