Second American makes King of Wales title claim

-

A second American man has come forward to claim he is the King of Wales.

It comes after Colarado man Allan V Evans announced in The Times that he was the rightful heir to the throne and would claim his crown in the next 30 days.

But Tywysog (Prince) Llywelyn Jones Cymru from California, who wants to be known as just Llywelyn, claims to have a court ruling that says he is the lawful King of Wales.

The 33-year-old, who makes a living as an engineering liaison for an aviation company, sought the ruling in an international tribunal sitting in Japan in May last year.

Legal papers provided by Llywelyn show that he has the “right to be known as” Ei Uchelder Brenhinol Tywysog Llywelyn Jones, Brenin Cymru, Brycheiniog, Ceredigion, Deheubarth, Dogfeiling, Dunoding, Dyfed, Ergyng, Glywysing, Gwent, Gwynedd, Gwynllwg, Meirionnydd, Morgannwg, Powys Wenwynwyn, Powys Fadog, Rhos, Rhufoniog, Seisyllwg.

Which means His Royal Highness Prince Llywelyn, King of Wales, and a string of Welsh fiefdoms.

Llywelyn has set up his own website www.kingdomofwales.wales and is also on Twitter and Instagram.

He claims the title of King of Wales is legally his, that two courts have now “confirmed the titles are [his] sole property” and that he now plans to fight for the Welsh.

Llywelyn says that the ruling of the courts make his titles legally recognised in 156 nations including the UK.

He believes that, like the Native Americans in the United States, the Welsh are an indigenous people who are entitled to billions in reparations.

To explain his claim to the throne of Wales, the martial arts fan shared a copy of the court documents, from the Place of Arbitration, ToTokyo, Japan.

They state he is dedescended “through aa direct and continuoous masculine line, frfrom the Welsh Kings oor warlords, and is a member of the Cenedl, or Royal WWelsh Nation”.

The documents eeven give his childdren the right to roroyal titles, making ththem Tywysog Doryaan and Tywysog GGafyn.

Llywelyn was born plplain Lawrence Jones Jr in San Diego county, California.

But he has changed his name by deed poll in his home city to Tywysog Llywelyn Jones Cymru.

Llywelyn, whose mother is a Native American, traces his Welsh heritage back through his father.

They are the descendants of a John W Jones who was born in Wales in 1828 and emigrated to Ohio, then nicknamed “Little Ceredigion” in the 19th century.

He has been in Wales over the last week, touring historic sites and has been posting photos on social media.

Llywelyn has issued the following statement: “Although I may not be the Prince you imagined, being born in the United States, and not yet being fluent in the old language; I am the right Prince to finish this fight for you and get you what is rightfully yours.

“The pen is mightier than the sword, and now that I have been legally recognized as the possessor of this position there are a plethora of legal avenues I will diligently pursue in your defense (sic – US spelling).”
