Bomb squad called in after beach discovery

-

A TEENAGER is stretchered off Snowdon after being found unwell at the summit.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were alerted by police after walkers discovered the 17-year-old suffering from hypothermia.

A team spokesman said the youth was placed on a stretcher which was wheeled down the Snowdon Mountain Railway track until it could be transferred to a vehicle.

He said the teenager was a member of a group but had separated from the others at some point during their walk on Saturday.

The weather on Snowdon was wet and windy, with low cloud covering the summit at the time of the rescue at 1pm.
