YOUNG MAN, 21, STILL MISSING

-

A MAJOR search was continuing last night for a Caernarfon man missing since the early hours of Sunday.

Police, the coastguard and the RNLI have been scouring the area for Jonathon Edwards (right), who left his home at around midnight. All enquiries have so far proved fruitless.

His family and friends have also been searching for the 21-year-old, and much of the effort focused on the Menai Bridge and Upper Bangor areas.

Inspector Llinos Davies said yesterday: “Jonathon is around 5ft11ins in height and of slim build, and was wearing a grey trench coat with a hood and blue or black jeans.

“If anyone has sighted a person matching his description or knows where Jonathon is, please contact North Wales Police as soon as possible as we are all increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We are particularly interested to speak to anyone who may have seen Jonathon in the area of the Antelope Public House or in Menai Bridge town between 1am and 3am on Sunday.”
