Community Star award for Eilwen

Congratulations to Eilwen Charters from Hafan Elan sheltered housing, Llanrug who’s received a Community Star for her work in the community. Eilwen was nominated for the “Good Neighbour” award by Diane Morris Supported CCG’s Housing Coordinator, because she goes the extra mile and is always willing to help and lend a hand to others. She has been working hard to improve activities at Hafan Elan and she is always willing to support and prepare the activities that are held in the communal room such as the lunch club, bingo, entertainment, fitness classes and much more. Eilwen also volunteers weekly at the local Age Cymru shop and gives a lot of her time for the benefit of others. Dylan Thomas, Community Involvement Manager at CCG said “Congratulations to Eilwen for winning this award. I would like to thank her for her hard work, which has made a big difference to the lives of our tenants at Hafan Elan. It is very important to us that people like Eilwen get the recognition they deserve.
