Ladies’WPL bid accepted

CAERNARFON Town Ladies’ bid for promotion to the Welsh Premier League has been accepted – provided they pass a ground inspection.

The WWPL panel agreed last week to admit the Cofis to the top-flight subject to The Oval meeting all criteria.

Town have won the North Wales League in a canter this season, recording 18 wins in 19 matches, scoring 119 goals and conceding just nine.

Manager Keith Fearns said: “Hopefully we will pass the inspection. It will be nice to have another North Wales team in the league. To do well in the WPL we will need to strengthen, get together a bigger squad of players.”
