YOUTH CLUB: Bontnewydd Youth Club leaders John and Maria offer a warm welcome to the young people of Bontnewydd and surrounding villages to participate in the club’s activities. The club is open every Tuesday from 7-9pm and open to students from Year Seven upwards. Activities scheduled this year include trips out of the club to participate in Ice skating, Indoor Climbing, Ten Pin Bowling, trips to the cinema. Also a range of activities offered within the club including pool, table tennis, cookery, boxing punch bag and game consoles. Members will also be given the opportunity to achieve the NICAS indoor climbing Level 1 climbing certificate. HWYL Y BONT: Hwyl y Bont 2017 week will start off with the fun day on Saturday, July 8 in Bontnewydd school yard and Community Centre. A day of fun with activities for all ages, beginning with a 5 and 10k race, bands, various stalls, face painting, bouncy castle, games and football presentations. Sunday July 9, Golf tournament to held at Caernarfon Golf Club. Monday July 10, Treasure Hunt. Tuesday July 11, Bingo in the Bontnewydd Community Centre. Thursday July 13, Noson Lawen and to finish off the week a Curry and Quiz evening, during which the raffle will be drawn.
