YNYS CYNHAEARN CHURCH: The old church of Ynys Cynhaearn, Pentrefeli­n will be open from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday June 25. This was once the parish church for the area of Tre’r Gest including Porthmadog and Tremadog and has a fascinatin­g history. The church is situated in a glorious setting about half a mile from the main road in Pentrefeli­n and the road to it is almost opposite the telephone kiosk. If the weather is fine it is well worth walking as the scenery is magnificen­t. There is limited parking at the church and there is easy disabled access as no steps are involved. A warm welcome is extended to everyone.

May was another busy month, helping 18 families and 13 single people/couples with food packs, a total of 31. If you would like to donate, there is a collecting basket in ASDA Pwllheli, and in St Peters Church Pwllheli. The Foodbank is open between 2 and 3pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you wish to donate, make sure that all items are unopened, in date and non-perishable. Cannot accept medicines such as paracetamo­l - any unwanted medication should be given to the local pharmacist for safe disposal. Currently do not need any bedding, but towels are always very useful.
