SHOCK DRIVING CAUGHT ON FILM
He calls them ‘bunch of dribbles’:
A MAN and his son were so shocked by the unbelievably bad driving they witnessed on the A470 that they decided to capture it for posterity.
Carl Mahoney was driving southbound from Blaenau Ffestiniog, with his son when they both watched a number of 4x4s trying to overtake a tractor.
The footage shows a Range Rover pulling out into oncoming traffic not once but twice as it tries to pass the vehicle.
Mr Mahoney’s 14-year-old son who filmed the footage on a mobile phone couldn’t believe what he was seeing as is made clear in his incredulous response.
He said: “Here we go ‘Mr smartmobile’ is about to pull out. Look at him... What is wrong with you, muppets?
“I am 14 and I can probably drive better than you, you melts.
“Are you mad? Are you being serious? Are you mad? “Are you honestly stupid? “Look Jesus, bunch of dribbles.
“Look at them all. Why can’t people just be patient? Look... and he expects you to let him back in.”
At one point the footage shows three vehicles blocking the road as oncoming traffic travels towards them.
Mr Mahoney posted the footage on YouTube.
He said: “On my way home these guys just pulled out in front of me and decided to drive like total d***s into oncoming traffic!
“Excuse my son’s commentary and just for the record at the end of the road there was a junction where the tractor turned right and I turned left.”
It comes as North Wales Police have asked drivers to send in any dashcam footage of driving offences so it can be used in prosecutions.
Operation Snap was launched in response to the ever increasing submission of video and photographic evidence from people who have witnessed driving offences.
Lynne Barrie, Chairman of the Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council said: “It shows awful driving and decisions.
“Basically rural roads are the place most fatalities occur. They are not only endangering themselves but others.
“I can completely understand the commentary.
“I am horrified by the amount of space people are keeping, if that was me I would want to keep back.
“But then could the tractor not have pulled in?
“The video is about keeping space and well done to the people who kept the space.”
