PERFORMING with chart star Pixie Lott in front of three of the music industry’s top players was a real “pinch myself” moment for liverpool-born Capital DJ Anton Powers.

Anton has performed to thousands of fans around the world with some of dance music’s biggest names from David Guetta to Steve Angello.

He met further success at the tail-end of 2015, collaborating with fellow dance producer Philip George with “Alone No More”.

And earlier this, he released his most recent collaboration ‘Baby’ with Voice the Kids judge, Pixie Lott, which they performed together on The Voice ahead of the final episode on April 2.

But the producer whoo spokespoke toto thethe Daily Post ahead of his performancerformance at Surf Snowdonia’s ElectricElectric Wave Festival revealed howow hehe had to ‘pinch’ himself whenhen he performed his new trackack in front of three of thehe music industry’s biggestst names - Will.i.am, Jen-nifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones.

“It was very surreal,” he said.

“It took me a while to digest it all when the call came in.

“When I started DJing,g, you were stuck in the cor-rner with no lights in a darkark room and no one saw you.u.

“I did have to pinch myselfself atat one point when I was standingtanding opposite Will.i.am, Jenniferifer Hud-Hudson and Sir Tom Jones, thinkingthinking howhow have I ended up here.

“Thankfully Pixie is a total star and natural at these types of performances. She made it easy for us.”

Powers, who is now a DJ and presenter for Capital FM also runs record label 3 Beat Productions which has signed a number of hit singles including ‘This Girl’ by Kungs v Cookin On 3 Burners, ‘Release Me’ by Agnes and ‘Hello’ by Martin Solveig.

He has also signed Pixie Lott to the label after he revealed how the pair have worked together on several projects.

“I remixed one of her records (Gravity) a few years ago and then last summer, we met again in Ibiza and decided to get into the studio and work on some music,” he added.

“It was natural for her to collaborate on ‘Baby’ with me and it’s worked incredibly. I’m really thankful for the amazing response we have had from it.

“I doubt we will do another record together, but I am working on the production of some of her new music and its really strong.

“Pixie has been a dream to work with and to get to know. She is really grounded and down to earth, how it should be.”

The DJ made his name in the early noughties on Juice FM before moving to Radio City 96.7 in 2011.

Since then, Powers has taken his decks around the world, performing at some of the biggest dance music events around the world including Creamfields alongside David Guetta, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Amnesia in Ibiza, Ruby Skye in San Francisco and Zero Gravity in Dubai.

He added: “I’m really e excited to play Electric Wave. North Wales is in my opinion the most beautiful location in the UUK, breath-taking scenerery and I like that it’s a faifairly local event for me - it’sit’s not too far from Liverpoopool.

““II know it’s going to be goodgood by how many people areare cascasing me for guest list already.already. ““Performance-Performwise it’s all about feel-feel-goodgood tunestunes to create a party vibe, fun, fun, fun.

“There is a couple of new songs I have done and I’ve not yet decided which one to bring out next, so testing them out at events like Electric Wave is perfect as I can see the crowd’s reaction to them.

“That will help me decide on what to go with next.

“Hopefully they like them otherwise it’s back to the drawing board.”
