PENSIONERS: A meeting was held on Tuesday July 4 with Mrs B W Jones in the chair. Mrs Jones welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend. Mrs Jones welcomed Sioned Williams from St David’s hospice who gave a talk on her work and future development of the hospice. Mrs J Griffith gave the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with final arrangements for the Mystery trip .The next meeting will be on Tuesday September 5.

CLWB Y FELIN: The next meeting of Clwb y Felin will be held on Thursday, July 13, at 2pm in y Ganolfan Pentrefelin. There will be no visiting speaker on this occasion. Indoor games will be arranged, suitable for those less active than they would like to be. Kurling is very popular, much like the game played on ice, only our plastic ‘stones’ have castors under them and roll across our parquet floor. There will be no meeting in August; the Club hope to see you again on Thursday, September 14, when Carol Reeve will present her talk “Soap”, some of her experiences acting as an extra and sometimes with a speaking part in television programmes. There will be no Fair in y Ganolfan Pentrefelin on August Bank Holiday this year, the Club hope to arrange one just before Christmas, when you will be able to purchase gifts for the forthcoming festivities.
