AGEING WELL: Age Cymru Gwynedd a Mon have teamed up with Communitie­s First and Gwynedd Council to run an ageing well project for over-50s in Bangor and Caernarfon. The aim is to encourage older people to come for a cuppa and a chat, and to take part in activities if they so wish. For example there are gentle chair exercises in the scout hut in Maesincla every Wed 10am onwards, a computer skills course every Friday from 10am onwards, whereby people can bring their own devices to learn on, or use ones provided for them. IT CLASSES: Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn is providing IT classes for older people (over 50) free of charge at the Scout Hut, Maesincla at 10am, every Friday.

ARFON WI: At their meeting on September 13, Judy Corbett described how she and her husband had restored, and are continuing to restore, Gwydir Castle, which was derelict when they bought it more than twenty years ago, and members look forward to visiting the castle next spring. t the next meeting, on Wednesday October 11, Vanessa Field will talk about the work of medical detection dogs. YOUNG FARMERS: Next year Caernarfon YFC will host the annual Eryri Young Farmers Rally, which sees a number of clubs within Eryri competing against each other in a number of competitio­ns. As a small (but enthusiast­ic) club in terms of numbers, the preparatio­ns need to begin well in advance and members are keen to hear from any former members, friends, fans and sponsors who would be interested in helping in any way, so that the 2018 Caernarfon YFC Rally will be worth rememberin­g. There will be an open evening to discuss the rally in Bethel Hall (home of the Club) at 7:30pm, October 4 with a warm welcome for all.

ST BEUNO’S CHURCH: Sunday October 8, 11am English Holy Communion. This service will be the first of the ‘winter season’ and will be held in the Beuno Chapel. All Sunday services will be held there until the Spring. The Chapel is alongside the big church, from the main entrance it is next but one door to the left. It may be easier to access it via the small gate opposite the garage, it is then the first door. The Church is open every day where you will find an exhibition telling of its history.

CYMDEITHAS HANES EIFIONYDD: History Society, The first meeting for the 2017-18 season will be on Weds 11th October 11, at Capel y Traeth 7.30 p.m. Starting with a short A.G.M this will be followed by a slide show of some of the highlights of last seasons outings.

EGLWYS CRIST: Y Sul nesaf Hydref 8f am 3pm cynhelir gwasanaeth Y Cymun o dan ofal y Canon Idris Thomas. Uchafbwynt y gwasanaeth i ddathlu 160 mlynedd yr Eglwys oedd y gân a ganwyd mor afiaethus gan blant yr Ysgol Sul sef geiriau o waith Mrs.Gwen Griffith un o athrawon yr Ysgol Sul.Y plant oedd Guto,Glesni,Cynan,Deion,J essica,Shane ac Efa Jane ac ymunodd y gynulleidf­a gyda hwy i ganu pennill yn dymuno penblwydd hapus i Eglwys Llandinorw­ig.Gwelwyd gan bawb waith y plant ynglyn a’r dathlu a wnaethpwyd y bore hwnnw. Mae’r Ysgol Sul yn cyfarfod bob bore Sul yn yr Eglwys a diolchwyd yn y gwasanaeth am waith arbennig Mrs.Eileen Hughes,Mrs.Rhianwen Jones a Mrs.Gwen Griffith hefo’r plant. Bydd yr Ysgol Sul yn cyflwyno gwasanaeth Sul yr Adfent yn yr Eglwys ar fore Sul Rhagfyr 3ydd am hanner awr wedi deg y bore.Y casglwyr oedd Leonard Jones a Kenneth Harris a’r clochydd oedd Darryl Williams.Ar ôl y gwasanaeth mwynhaodd pawb wledd arbennig wedi ei baratoi gan ferched caredig yr Eglwys a chyfle i sgwrsio yn braf; hyfryd oedd i Mrs.Jennie Williams aelod hynaf yr Eglwys dorri y gacen benblwydd arbennig a phawb wedyn yn ei mwynhau.Diwrnod hapus i bawb oedd hwn a digwyddiad i’w drysori.

AFTERNOON TEA DANCE: Why not come along? A friendly group who welcome new members. Upstairs in the Church Hall every Wed 2pm-4pm. Small contributi­on of £2.50 appreciate­d.

LLANBEDROG ART CLUB: A friendly group who extend a warm welcome to new members. Beginners and experience­d artists invited. Occasional talks/ demos from profession­al artists. Meets every Mon 1.30pm-4.30pm at St Pedrog’s Church Hall. Subs £2 including tea and biscuits.

BALLROOM AND LATIN AMERICAN: Dance Classes in Llanbedrog Village Hall, Cae Hendy on Wednesday evenings. Practice session 7pm-7.45pm. Improvers Class 8pm-9.30pm. Social Dance/Practice Dance on the first Wednesday of every month 7.30pm-10.15pm. Private Lessons by arrangemen­t. Qualified Teacher with the IDTA. Call Kerstina on 07920 446976.

KNITTING AND SEWING GUILD: Is a group of ladies who knit babies to adults jumpers and toys and many sewn items too. It is open to the public every Thurs 2pm-4pm in the Church Hall when they sell these items. All monies go to local charities. DRU YOGA CLASS: Llanbedrog Church Hall. Mondays 11am-12.15pm. Dru Yoga is practised by people of all abilities, all fitness levels and all age groups, with classes tailored to the needs of each individual.
