ACCUSED OF KILLING TEEN
Two face manslaughter charges over shooting
TWO men will face manslaughter charges after a teenager was shot dead in a pub car park.
Four men had denied firearms charges and were due to go on trial in May.
But the prosecution has now decided to charge Benjamin Fiztsimmons and Ben Wilson with manslaughter over the shooting of Peter Colwell, 18, of Clynnog, at the Ship Inn, Llanbedrog, in February.
The trial, which will now take place before a High Court judge, will be held in May at Mold Crown Court.
The case will be mentioned at the end of January, and applications to dismiss the charges by some of the defendants will then be listed before the trial judge.
No pleas were entered at Mold Crown Court on Monday.
Fitzsimons, 22, of Nanhoron, near Pwllheli, had already been charged with possessing a loaded shotgun in a public place.
Wilson, 28, of Ely Street, Ely, Cambridgeshire, had been charged with three counts of failing to comply with conditions of a firearm certificate and two of failing to comply with conditions on a shotgun certificate.
Harry Robert Butler, 22, of Llaniestyn, near Pwllheli, and Michael David Fitzsimons, 24, of Nanhoron, near Pwllheli, are charged with possessing a loaded shotgun in a public place. All four were rebailed.
