Llanrug remain undefeated as Cefni rescue point

LLANRUG United are still unbeaten in Welsh Alliance Division One after last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Llangefni Town.

Mark Jat’s side made it four points out of six for Llanrug against the Anglesey side in the league – as well as a Cookson Cup win – with a well-earned point at LÔn Talwrn. Aaron Hughes put the visitors in front only for Dan Thomas to rescue a point for Cefni in the second half.

Conwy Borough extended their lead at the pinnacle to four points with a 5-0 away drubbing of St Asaph City.

Corrig McGonigle (2), Cory Williams, Jack Hoult and Jamie Roberts shared the goals. Dave Maddock grabbed a hat-trick as in-form Llandudno Albion trounced Llanberis 8-1.

Dan Evans, Adam Hold, Kenneth Roberts, Joel Lloyd and Joe Carey contribute­d the rest, with Callum McDonald replying.

Llanrwst United thrashed Nantlle Vale 4-1, Leighton Griffiths (pen), Aron Hughes, a Morgan Owen screamer and Callum Parry with the home tally, Rob Owen responding.

Mark Roberts (2), Luke Appleby and Dan Porter guided Llandyrnog United to a 4-1 triumph at Greenfield.

Trearddur Bay United saw off Mynydd Llandegai by the same score, Ryan Connolly (2), Craig Beech and Dave Webb providing the winners’ tally, Liam Willighan hitting back.

Division Two leaders Glan Conwy are 13 points clear after a 2-0 outcome at Penmaenmaw­r Phoenix.

Cemaes Bay held Amlwch Town to a 0-0 draw.

A Tudur Williams strike earned Llannerchy­medd a 1-0 result away to Aberffraw.
