SINGING FOR FUN: Lleisiau’r Byd World Voices is a friendly and informal community choir. Meets every Wednesday in term-time 7.30-9.30 in the Jerusalem Hall, Cricieth. £5 a session, with first one free. The choir sings songs in a variety of styles and languages in glorious harmony. All music is taught by ear, directed by musical leader David Gunn, in a friendly and supportive way to produce beautiful sounds. No previous singing experience necessary. Contact 01766 523686. SOROPTIMIS­T INTERNATIO­NAL OF SOUTH CAERNARVON­SHIRE: An internatio­nal organisati­on helping women and girls achieve their potential by inspiring action and creating opportunit­ies to transform lives through a global network of members locally and internatio­nally. SSAFA GWYNEDD: Lifeboat crew will be there to help, but they need your support to stay afloat. The RNLI Shop and Boathouse (at the bottom of Castle Hill, always flying the RNLI flag), is open from 11am to 5pm every day, and then till 8pm during school holidays. As well as the usual gifts, sweets, clothing, buckets, spades and toys, this year’s Christmas cards are in and the 2019 diaries. If the shop is closed, it simply means either that the weather’s too bad even for shopping, or that (whisper it - big hint!) it has been difficult to find staff. If you would be able to consider offering a few hours’ voluntary work, particular­ly during the school holidays, please ask in the shop or contact 01766 522799.
