Award event offers hellish good time for hard rockers
HARD Rock Hell will be taking place at Camp HRH (aka Hafan y Mor), Pwllheli, from November 8-11 but, before that, HRH is hellish proud to announce the nominees for the keenly-anticipated second HRH Awards, to take place on Wednesday, November 7.
Last year’s glitzy inaugural outing saw rock legends Michael Schenker and Dee Snider scoop up welldeserved awards, acknowledged those mighty UK newcomers Stone Broken and many other high achievers across a range of categories.
The HRH Awards honour the artists, industry figures and people who matter in this raucous, hard rocking business, acknowledging high achievement and fan appreciation of excellence. The event is sponsored by industry heavyweights: Marshall, Eden, Natal, JHS, Vintage, HRH Mag, and Hard Rock Hell Radio.
The Second Coming of the Awards has been carefully crafted, as per HRH’s tried-and-tested values, reflecting the tastes of hardcore, dedicated fans: the HRH Loyal, the Dark Circle and wider HRH community. HRH dares to be different because it democratically involves the fans in the event and awards.
Fans can also meet and greet the nominees when they arrive for the awards on the HRH Red Carpet. There’ll also be a couple of accolades awarded by HRH itself.
The Awards categories and nominees are as follows: HRH Axeman (Nominees: Dave Meniketti, Phil Campbell, Michael Schenker, Zakk Wylde); HRH “Angels of Rock” (Nominees: Häxan, Rock Goddess, Tequila Mockingbyrd, The Amorettes); HRH Rising Stars (Nominees: Bad Touch, Evil Scarecrow, Massive, Those Damn Crows); HRH Young Blood (Nominees: Devilfire, Footprints in The Custard, Gin Annie, Tomorrow Is Lost); HRH Metal Maniacs (Nominees: Evil Scarecrow, Helloween, Kamelot, Saxon); HRH Global Heroes (Nominees: Michael Monroe, Skid Row, The Dead Daisies, Tyketto); HRH Tub Thumper (Nominees: Andy Parker, Jordan Spencer, Mikkey Dee, Nigel Glocker); HRH Stoner Lords (Nominees: Conan, Crowbar, Monster Magnet, Orange Goblin). Other key Awards, to be presented by HRH, include: HRH Legend; HRH Mjolnir (Industry Special Achievement Award)
Once again, the awards ceremony will be a lavish, red carpet affair, delivered with full-on flair and attention to detail that Europe’s leading residential festival provider brings to each and every event.
Picture a roomful of passionate rock fans and talent: fans, industry, artists, agents, and media, all dressed to impress. Sit-down tables, much glitz and plenty of pizazz. You’ll also get to enjoy a select few live performances at the event.
Tempted? Tickets are once more very limited in numbers: only 500 will be able to attend, so do book early. Phone the hotline on 0207 193 1164 or visit the website at www. HardRockHell.com.
