BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (12)
BAFTA-WINNING musical biopic, which covers the 15-year period between the formation of Queen and their triumphant 20-minute set at Live Aid on July 13, 1985.
Guitarist Brian May (Gwilym Lee) and drummer Roger Taylor (Ben Hardy) welcome Freddie Mercury (Rami Malek) as lead singer of their band Smile. Bassist John Deacon (Joseph Mazzello) enriches the group’s sound as they take on the Queen mantle. Away from the recording studio, Freddie locks horns with his father (Ace Bhatti) and wrestles with his sexuality.

HUNTER KILLER (15)
BASED on the novel Firing Point by Don Keith and George Wallace, Hunter Killer is entertaining hogwash. A shootout beneath the ice of the Barents Sea close to Russia immobilises the USS Tampa Bay. Admiral Charles Donnegan (Gary Oldman) sanctions a mission to discover the fate of the missing sub.
Commander Joe Glass (Gerard Butler) is captain of the USS Arkansas, and the crew prepares to sail into hostile waters. Covert surveillance reveals the Russian defence minister has staged a coup and is holding President Zakarin (Alexander Diachenko) hostage, so Glass prepares a rescue.

THE OATH
SCATHING black comedy. Chris (Ike Barinholtz) and his wife Kai (Tiffany Haddish) are shocked by news that all Americans must sign The Patriot’s Oath by Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, pledging unswerving loyalty to the US president. As the deadline draws near, Chris and Kai host a dinner party for family and friends.
Animated discussion turns to the oath and the contrasting politics of family members sparks conflict. When two government agents (John Cho, Billy Magnussen), arrive unannounced and make damning accusations, the mood darkens.
