BANC BWYD PWLLHELI FOODBANK: Were thrilled with the total of over £400 raised at the recent cofee morning. (There are still donations to be included in the final total). Thanks to everyone who supported in many ways - helping on the day with refreshments and stalls, donations of raffle and tombola prizes and of course coming to see us and spend some money. The funds raised will be a huge help with our work locally. We are increasingly busy (53 food packs given out in May) and unfortunately prices keep going up. If you would like to support us there is a collection trolley in ASDA. Always running short of tinned vegetables and fruit and long life milk. If you would like to see how we work, feel free to come to St Peters Church Pwllheli any Tuesday or Friday between 2 and 3pm.

ROTARY’S MIDSUMMER HIKE: Circular walk, either 7.5 or 13 miles, on Saturday June 22, starts and finishes at the Ty Newydd Hotel in Aberdaron, along quiet country lanes and the undulating coastal path, incorporating wonderful views of Bardsey Island, hidden coves and rugged coastline. The 13 mile version continues along the clifftops to Porth Oer/Whistling Sands. The money raised from the £8 per person entry fee will be split between Rotary’s international ‘End Polio Now’ vaccination campaign and the local charity ‘Access All Areas’ providing beach and sea-enabled wheelchairs. Register online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk or e mail rotarypwllheliwalk@gmail.com or message their Facebook page. Then you can set up a Just Giving page and raise money for a charity of your choice! Start time 8 – 9.30am, finish by 5pm. NT car parking at Aberdaron, refreshments along the route, 12 – 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Not suitable for small children, wheelchairs or dogs.
