WOMEN’S AID: De Gwynedd Women’s Aid provides support to all women living in Dwyfor and Meirionnyd­d who have suffered or are currently suffering domestic abuse, regardless of age, marital status, culture and language, with or without children. We offer free confidenti­al informatio­n and help on benefits and housing, and we are there also to those who just need someone to talk to. CANOLFAN FELIN FACH: Provides a daily drop in service for anyone who needs company, support, help in filling forms and other informatio­n regarding Wellbeing. Anybody can call in without a prior appointmen­t and we guarantee you a warm welcome. Open Tuesday-Friday 9am until 4pm. The Centre provides and offers a wide range of leisure activities board games, pool, darts and dominoes, Also have an Arts and Craft group every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.30am-3pm. Distribute­s Food Bank vouchers every Tuesday and Friday for people who are in a crisis, If it is a bank holiday we will issue these on the day before. Ti a Fi Pwllheli has been run voluntaril­y for 8yrs+ and without voluntary support this provision would not exist. A big thank you to them!

BANC BWYD PWLLHELI FOODBANK: Were thrilled with the total of over £400 raised at the recent cofee morning. (There are still donations to be included in the final total). Thanks to all who supported in many ways - helping on the day with refreshmen­ts and stalls, donations of raffle and tombola prizes and of course coming to see us and spend some money. The funds raised will be a huge help with our work locally. We are increasing­ly busy (53 food packs given out in May) and unfortunat­ely prices keep going up. If you would like to support us there is a collection trolley in ASDA. Always running short of tinned vegetables and fruit and long life milk. If you would like to see how we work, feel free to come to St Peters Church Pwllheli any Tuesday or Friday between 2 and 3pm.

PWLLHELI BLANKETEER­S: meet at St Peter’s Church on the last Friday of every month from 10am-noon. Beginners welcome. Instructio­n given. Knit or crochet squares or strips to make into blankets for those in need locally. Donations of wool, squares and strips are welcome at any time and can be left in the basket in the church.

FELINHELI 10K: the annual Felinheli 10k race through the Faenol Park will take place on Wednesday evening, July 3. It is part of the ‘Gwyl y Felinheli’ Festival and the main attraction for the Wednesday evening activities. Entries are being accepted from runners of all abilities as usual but for anyone interested who has not yet registered, be aware that there is a closing date if entering by post, which is June 29. Runners can also enter online via the ‘TDL events’ website. Note – there are no entries on the evening. There is a limit of 400 competitor­s in this event, so get your enty inearly.
