LLANNOR/EFAILNEWYD­D WI: enjoyed their Summer outing on July 8, with an evening visit to Islwyn Bakery at Aberdaron, where they made a loaf of bread, enjoyed tea & cake and were given a talk by Geraint. He & his wife Gillian have achieved so much in the 5 years they have owned it and have plans for future developmen­t. On our way out the members purchased various goodies from the shop.

LLANBEDROG ART CLUB: A friendly group who extend a warm welcome to new members. Beginners and experience­d artists invited. Occasional talks/ demos from profession­al artists. The group meets every Mon 1.30pm-4.30pm at St Pedrog’s Church Hall. Subs £2 including tea and biscuits.

KNITTING AND SEWING GUILD: Is a group of ladies who knit babies to adults jumpers and toys and many sewn items too. It is open to the public every Thurs 2pm-4pm in the Church Hall when they sell these items. All monies go to local charities. Wed: A joint project between Gwynedd Council’s Youth Service, Grŵp Cynefin and CARN offers an opportunit­y to young people in Caernarfon, Llanrug and Dyffryn Nantlle to create a mural in Caernarfon.

Following a discussion with local residents and businesses who had shown an interest in seeing murals around the town, it was decided that the young people would have the opportunit­y to work with Craft/Art 9.30-11.30am. Drama Noon1.30pm. Choir 1.30-3.30pm. Welsh for beginners and advanced classes 2pm-3pm. Fri: Exercise for over 50`s, 9.30-10.30am Line Dancing 2.30-4.00pm. Sculpture classes, alternate Fridays 10 45am until 1pm starting June 21.

BRIDGE CLUB: Tuesdays at the Village CARN artists Abbie Parry, Ffion Pritchard and Tegid Roberts to create a series of murals that interpret what the town means to some of the local young people.

It is hoped the mural will be displayed in the park opposite the Black Boy pub in Caernarfon and that the unveiling will happen in the near future.
