Tribute to 24-year-old killed in crash:
THE family of a young woman killed in a crash in Gwynedd have paid tribute to their “darling angel”.
Fflur Green from Trawsfynydd has been named as the woman who died following the collision near Gellilydan on Thursday, July 11.
The 24-year-old was a passenger in a blue Renault Scenic which collided with a blue Mitsubishi ASX shortly before 9.50pm.
Her mother has told of the “unbearable pain” the family are suffering after losing her “beautiful” daughter.
Her family said in a statement: “No words can describe this unbearable pain we are all going through of losing our daughter, sister and granddaughter.
“Our beautiful, sweet, quiet, hardworking and talented little girl. Taken away from us way too soon. Fly high my darling angel. Mum and Dad love you.”
Flowers (pictured inset) have been tied to barriers on the roadside where the accident happened.
Police shut the road near to the sewage works for eight hours with motorists urged to avoid the area.
North Wales Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anybody with dashcam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Raymond Williams who is leading the investigation said: “Our thoughts remain with Fflur’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“She was clearly a much-loved young woman and her family are now being supported by police family liaison officers.
“I would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward.
“However we are aware of two vehicles which passed the scene of the collision and I am keen for both drivers to contact us.
“We also continue to appeal to anybody who may have seen the vehicles travelling along the A487 prior to the collision to come forward to assist with our ongoing investigation.”
