REMEMBERIN­G THE QUARRY CLOSURE: A service to mark the closure of the Dinorwig Quarry half a century ago. September 15, 3pm at Ysgol Gwaun Gynfi, Deiniolen. A special service with local residents to reflect on the history and influence of Dinorwig Quarry on Wales and beyond. Musical and poetic presentati­ons, readings and a photograph­ic exhibition. Tea, coffee and cake to follow. Join in sharing and learning about the history of Dinorwig Quarry and its people. COFFEE MORNING: In the community centre 27th September between 10:00am and 12:00 am in aid of MacMillan, entry £2 including cake and tea or coffee. LLANBERIS TIDY VILLAGE: volunteers meet up weekly to litterpick around the village. If you’d like to join, come to Menter Fachwen shop, High Street, Llanberis at 10am on Sunday. Croeso/ welcome to everyone including families and dog walkers.
