REMEMBERING THE QUARRY CLOSURE: A service to mark the closure of the Dinorwig Quarry half a century ago. September 15, 3pm at Ysgol Gwaun Gynfi, Deiniolen. A special service with local residents to reflect on the history and influence of Dinorwig Quarry on Wales and beyond. Musical and poetic presentations, readings and a photographic exhibition. Tea, coffee and cake to follow. Join in sharing and learning about the history of Dinorwig Quarry and its people.
