Caernarfon are set for Cefni test
A NEW season of domestic rugby gets under way this weekend as teams get ready to lock horns again in Division One North.
Llangefni will host Caernarfon in what promises to be a thrilling clash to open the season, with newly promoted Dolgellau handed a tricky trip to a powerful Bala side.
A stiff challenge awaits Bro Ffestiniog in their first competitive outing of the season, with a visit from defending champions Llandudno, and Bethesda make the trip to 2018 title winners Nant Conwy.
Pwllheli, runners-up for each of the past two seasons, will play their first game on home soil when Denbigh visit.
All games take place on Saturday, September 7 with a 2.30pm kick-off.
The following weekend on Saturday, September 14, sees Caernarfon host Pwllheli in what promises to be another blockbuster.
The governing body announced during the summer that Specsavers will take over sponsorship after agreeing a three-year deal with the WRU, which will also see them become the sponsor of the National Cup competitions.
