A

I’m an only child, minus the syndrome. I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Icelandic parents, so I speak perfect(ish) Danish. I’ve been most places in the northern hemisphere, and a few in the southern while touring with my first band Múm.

I’m currently residing in Berlin where I have a greatly fun life of creating and playing around with my friends.

Q

Tell us about your family

A

I have a mom affectionately known as AEja, and a dad named Gísli who affectionately refers to himself as a “hostage of light”.

How would you describe your music?

Do you have any gigs/tours coming up?

What are you best known for?

I would say split the difference between my solo work as Mr. Silla and my involvement with the band múm and you have roughly 83% of what I’m best known for.

Q

A

A calmly inviting barrage of sonic and visual information meant to help you attain a better understanding of yourself and the people around you, all the while drinking beer.

I’m an anime fanatic. My favourite amongst them being “One Punch Man”.

Q

Lately I’ve been diving back into my love of 80’s Japanese city pop and what came out of that. Haruomi Hosono, YMO, Mariah and Hiroshi Yoshimura to name a few of my faves.

QAWhat can people expect from your gigs?

Tell us five things which make your set great?

Tell us a little known fact about yourself:

Whose music are you listening to?

What are you most proud of musically?

I would say that I’m usually proudest of whatever new thing I’m doing. At the moment, my newest record ‘Hands On Hands’ is what I’m the most proud of.

What are your up-andcoming plans with your career?

I’m very excited to release my new full length LP ‘Hands On Hands’ on Making Records this fall, and subsequent touring in support of it.
