CYLCH LLENYDDOL CAERNARFON A GWYRFAI: Daeth criw da ynghyd i ‘r Llyfgell yng Nghaernarf­on ar Fedi 17 i wrando ar Cefin Roberts yn olrhain hanes cynhyrchu “Te yn y Grug” ar gyfer yr Eisteddfod yn Llanrwst eleni. Cafwyd noson ddifyr dros ben a Cefin yn plethu’r cyfan yn hwyliog a meistrolga­r, o’r broses o gydweithio efo’r holl bobl a oedd yn rhan o’r perfformia­d I’r dylanwadau arno er pan yn blentyn yn Llanllyfni. Diolchodd Mary Roberts iddo am roi cychwyn mor rhagorol i’r tymor.

SALEM: Cynhaliwyd oedfa Sul y Maer, Caernarfon (y Cynghorydd Tudor Owen) dan arweiniad y Gweinidog, y Parch J Ronald Williams. Cafwyd cefnogaeth gan blant y capel gydag Ioan Rhys a Deian Iorwerth yn cyflwyno caneuon, darlleniad gan Dafydd Môn a dilynodd Elin Haf drwy dywys y gynulleidf­a mewn gweddi. Canodd y plant y gân ‘Goleuadau’ gyda brwdfryded­d. Yn ystod y gwasanaeth cafwyd darlleniad­au gan Brenda Owen, y Faeres a Maria Sarnacki dirprwy Faer y Dre. Llywydd y dydd oedd Ffion Johnstone; yr organydd yn ystod y bore oedd Arthur Wilding a chyfeiliod­d y grŵp Gobaith i un gân. ‘Roedd y Gwasanaeth hwyrol yng ngofal y Gweinidog. Bydd yr Oedfa bore Sul nesaf (Medi 29) dan ofal yr aelodau a disgwylir y Gweinidog i wasanaethu am 4yp, gydag Ysgol Sul y plant a’r ieuenctid yn cyfarfod yn y bore.

SINGING FOR FUN: Lleisiau’r Byd World Voices is a friendly and informal community choir. Meets every Wednesday in term-time 7.30-9.30 in the Jerusalem Hall, Cricieth. £5 a session, with first one free. The choir sings songs in a variety of styles and languages in glorious harmony. All music is taught by ear, directed by musical leader David Gunn, in a friendly and supportive way to produce beautiful sounds. No previous singing experience necessary. Contact 01766 523686.

RNLI: The Criccieth RNLI shop and Boathouse will now be open from 11am to 5pm each day (unless the weather is particular­ly awful!). Christmas card stocks will be vanishing quickly, but there are lots of other stocking fillers, and even more substantia­l presents - including membership of Storm Force, which gives older youngsters a chance to feel part of our volunteer crew. The shop has now been refurbishe­d, but the welcome you will receive is still the same - we do look forward to seeing you, and obviously every purchase you make will help to keep our crew afloat, and you and your family safe on or beside the sea. TV’s Saving Lives at Sea is riveting viewing!
