BORE PANED: The next Bore Paned 50 will be at the Abersoch Village Hall on this Friday, October 4 from 10am onwards, a very warm welcome to all in the Community, BANGOR WIDOWERS AND WIDOWS: Social group covering Anglesey, Bangor, Caernarfon and Llyn, set up for widowed people to enjoy life again in the company of other widowed people who understand. As a guide it is suggested people aged 50-70 will get the most from membership, as it aims to be active, out and about. At the moment it meets regularly in Bangor, Menai Bridge and Caernarfon and also meet up weekly for walks, and go to opera, ballet, gigs, cinema, meals, pub quiz and weekends away. BLOOD CANCER: If you or any of your family of friends are affected by lymphoma, myeloma, leukaemia or any other blood cancer, there is now a support group that meets on the first Thursday of alternate months in Bangor from 7pm to 8.30pm at St David’s outpatient­s department, Ysbyty Gwynedd. As well as meeting others with similar experience­s, there will be interestin­g speakers and informativ­e discussion and the kettle is always on. PALS SUPPER CLUB: (People Alone Like Socializin­g) Gwynedd, Anglesey & Conwy. If you’re alone (for whatever reason) over 55 and interested in meeting others in the same situation, for supper once a month. PALS plan to hold regular monthly supper nights in different towns. This is a bilingual group for single adults aged over 55, living in roughly a 50 mile radius of Bangor, North Wales, to expand their friendship­s with those who find themselves in similar solo circumstan­ces, to get out and socialize.
