BANC BWYD PWLLHELI FOODBANK: is open every Tuesday and Friday from 2-3pm at St Peter’s Church. Why not consider a Reverse Advent Box? Place one item of food or toiletries in a box every day of advent and donate the box to the Foodbank in the New Year.

PWLLHELI BLANKETEERS: provides handmade blankets, hats, gloves and scarves on the Llyn to those who are in need of warmth. The blankets are already being appreciated now that the weather is getting colder. Donations can be left in the basket in St Peter’s Church, Pwllheli or you can call in on Tuesday or Friday 12 – 3pm.

ELLA ROBERTS: Gynt o Flat 2, Trelan, Pwllheli a Pretoria Terrace, Sarn. Bu farw yn Ysbyty Bryn Beryl ar Dachwedd 9. Ganwyd Ella ym Mhencoed, Sarn Mellteyrn ar Ebrill 15, 1922. Roedd yn un o bump o blant, ac yn bedair ar ddeg oed aeth i weithio fem morwyn fach. Bu’n cynorthwyo yn ysgol y pentref yn ystod amser cinio, ac roedd wrth ei bodd yng nghwmni’r plant ar yr iard. Priododd a Glyn Tynycoed a ganwyd mab iddynt sef Alwyn. Bu’r tri yn byw yn Pretoria, Sarn gyda chymdogaeth glos o ffrindiau. Gweithiodd am flynyddoedd yn edrych ar olplant ar fferm Bodnithoedd, ac roedd yn cael ei hadnabod fel Anti Ella i genedlaethau o blant y pentref. Ar ol marwolaeth ei gwr, symudodd i fyw i Trelan, Pwllheli i fod yn agos at Alwyn a Gwyneth a’r plant, Delyth, Bethan a Gethin. Daeth yn aelod ffyddlon o Gapel y Drindod a llawer o gymdeithasau eraill yn y dref, cyn symud i fyw i gartref Glan y Don. Roedd yn uchel ei pharch gan bawb a bydd colled fawr ar ei hol i’r teulu. Cynhaliwyd yr angladd ar ddydd Iau, Tachwedd 14 gyda gwasanaeth cyhoeddus yng Nghapel Salem, Sarn, yna yn dilyn ym Mynwent Eglwys Mellteyrn. Gwasanaethwyd gan y Parch W Bryn Williams. Yr organydd oedd Elsie Roberts.
